A though about a bit of Costa Rica. For some reason it comes to mind these days. I miss the place. I went there in the early 90′s and had so many great adventures. Some of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. Arenal Volcano and its regular eruptions, shaking the ground, sending a puff of smoke high into the atmosphere, the red lava running down its black slopes, spectacular against the night sky.

The Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica, is a stratovolcano.

I loved bathing in the hot spring streams that flowed like white rivers through the green jungles. At one time the stream was diverted into a swimming pool at Tabacon. Not sure if it’s still there, but the stream itself is still able to be bathed in.
